Job Description Manager Financial Policy & Procedure
Leading Bank is looking for a Manager, Financial Policy &
Procedure Position (Arabic educated ) based in Dubai. The
job-holder is required to lead all financial control
activity, ensuring compliance with all financial control
policy requirements in support of Group Head Finance
Policy & Control. A qualified accountant or MBA with
previous experience in Banking / Financial Services.
Should possess sound knowledge of International Accounting
Standards and have knowledge of relevant banking
regulations. Detailed JD The job-holder is responsible for
the operations, control and maintenance of the accounting
& financial control systems, reconciliations and processes
at Group Finance. To improve and tighten the financial
control environment in the Bank and ensure the Financial
control environment is amongst the best. To create and
maintain a compliance culture within Finance Division.
Main Job Tasks Assist in developing and implementing the
framework & policy document governing Financial Accounting
for the Group including all its subsidiaries 1. Assist in
developing and implementing the framework & policy
document governing Financial Control for the Group
including all its subsidiaries 2. Ensure Group s delivery
on regulatory & disclosure requirements of Basel-2. 3.
Monitor Financial Controls exceptions and take corrective
action to maintain an effective Financial Control
environment. 4. Effective Management of reconciliation
process to ensure tighter controls. 5. Ensure Integrity of
General Ledger through regular reviews of reconciliations.
6. Improve and tighten the financial control environment
in the bank and ensure the Financial Control environment
is amongst the best. 7. Provide Advisory Support to
Businesses on Financial Control and other risk management
matters. 8. Establish and implement all risk management
policies and key control standards in relation to Finance.
9. Ensure that there are appropriate and documented
internal controls and procedures in place. Monitor the
operation of such procedures and controls and regularly
review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in
products, systems, policy and regulations. Experience 1. A
qualified accountant or MBA with previous experience
(minimum 4 years) in Banking / Financial Services. 2.
Should possess sound knowledge of International Accounting
Standards and have knowledge of relevant banking
regulations.
