Job Details: Job Objectives:
The Financial Analyst is a critical role within the
financial department of our client, a non profit.
community development organization responsible for a
one-of-a-kind effort that brings together.
leadership from the community, business, government, and
foundations to rebuild company.
In this newly created role, the Financial Analyst will be
responsible for the analysis of complex financial data and
the creation of monthly reports to support effective
management and decision-making across the organization.
The position will report to the Director of Finance and
provide financial analysis support to other team players.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Perform variance analyses between budgeted and actual
results and review analyses with budget stakeholders

Forecast and monitor cash positions.

Assist in the management and monitoring
of expenditures associated with company s contracts and
grant awards

Assist the Controller in the preparation
of reports to lenders and the preparation of
internal-use financial reports

Assist the Controller and Director of
Finance in the preparation of company s annual budget and
review of departmental budget data

Prepare financial analyses of project
costs and present findings in summary reports for
executives, management, and other employees and
stakeholders

Maintain general ledger account segments

Provide schedules and perform account
analyses to support amounts reported in
Company s annual audit report

Monitor usage of private and public
grants and assist the Development

Department in the preparation of reports to grantors

Develop new procedures to improve
timeliness and accuracy of data and information flow to
all areas of the organization

Serve as liaison to Baltimore City s
Program Finance Office to reconcile financial
data and reports

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting

2. 5+ years relevant experience

3. Proficiency in the application of accounting concepts
pertinent to public

and private grant funding

4. Proficiency in preparing and managing cash balance
forecasts

5. Experience performing monthly financial closes

6. Experience working with external auditors

7. Excellent organizational skills

8. Strong operational and analytical background

9. Strong written and verbal communication and
presentation skills

10. Must be a problem solver, a team player, and posses
the ability to thrive in

a fast-paced organization where situations change daily

11. Experience with MIP or similar financial software
product.

12. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft s Office Suite,
particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary

The salary for this position will be commensurate with
work experience, skills and educational background.
